  1. This is no longer a single collection of CDIDs, but is an amalgamation
  2. of various collections from different sources. A lot of the files are
  3. from Thomas Andersson's collection on Aminet.
  4.  
  5. These are suitable for use with any CD player that supports standard
  6. CDID files, including ACDPlayer, MCDPlayer, OptyCDPlayer and others.

  8. There are currently 6233 CDIDs in the collection. It is now archived
  9. using LhA, since many CD filing systems have problems with directories
  10. containing this many files. Unless you have two CD drives, you will
  11. need to copy the files to your hard drive anyway.

  13. To unarchive the entire collection, CD to the directory containing
  14. your CDIDs and type

  16. lha x CUCD:CDROM/CDIDs/CDIDs.lha
  17.  
  18. All the ID files now have the Title and Artist in the file comment,
  19. making identification of the files much easier. Thanks to Nick Clover
  20. for his SetIDComment program, which you can find in the Readers
  21. section of CUCD18.
